WMA files won't play in WMP11 on new vista rig

That makes sense, but they play on my other vista pc and I ripped a disc to wma files using my new vista pc, and wmp11 won't play the wma files it created. Yup, the wma files play fine on it and every other player I have tried except for vistas wmp11. I tried out a few other music players...

WMA files won't play in WMP11 on new vista rig

Why would I need to install a codec pack to play wma files on vista. Isn't wma, window's codec? I installed the k-lite standard pack and the wma files still won't play :( But, I didn't see anything about wma while I ran through the install.

WMA files won't play in WMP11 on new vista rig

I originally ripped all my music using WMP in XP (WMA files play fine) I installed vista on a new HDD and transferred my music collection onto the vista drive using drag and drop. (WMA files play fine on vistas WMP11) Then, I built a new rig using vista as the OS and transferred my music...

I'm going to be giving my PC to my bro, But my x1900xt is dieing so I wanted to buy a new card for him, Unfortunately it has to be pcie x16(not 2.0) I was thinking about the 9800 GT 512MB, How dose it compare to the x1900xt 512MB? Newegg.com - MSI N9800GT 512OC GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit...

    Help me pick a mobo.

That's a nice one, But I was looking for something a little cheaper and I will never use crossfire, as a matter of fact, I would never use half the stuff on either of those mobos. I was considering a micro atx mobo because they seem to have everything I need, plus allot of them have onboard...

    The right power supply

I was quoting 2 different people. If you say so... I'm not arguing against them. What do you think we disagree on?

    The right power supply

What? I'm not trash talking, and I have allot respect for those guys! I'm just trying to get the facts straight, Watts don't mean anything? not true! I agree that the total watts of the psu doesn't mean much, But all the hardware power usage reviews are in watts and all you have to do is divide...
