^ Do this. Especially check to make sure the EPS (8 pin) CPU power is plugged in. If you have a multimeter, it'd be worthwhile to check the 12 and 5 volt rails for consistency.

I remember when I had Fios loooooong ago. Back when 25/25 was their mid-tier. Must admit it was much nicer than the err...Comcast 12/5 I get now on the laptop. I don't even think it's the speeds that are the problem; just the router (doesn't it always seem to be that way?).
