i think the graphics card should come with a DVI - VGA adapter... somebody correct me if im wrong. i know mine did at least (7800GT) otherwise they go for like $15 at Microcenter

might need a bigger PSU.

if you go for the AMD setup, i think alot of people would recommend socket AM2. but then you'd have to change your RAM also. just a thought

Well for an update... i just got the 5.1 speakers and it only plays of of two speakers and the sub. so i'll go grab a soundcard. thx for your help. speakers sound great even when not playing from all of them!

my emachines is a beast thank you very much. 600w Coolermaster eXtreme Power, 7800GT, AMD 3400, 1 gig Ram, 200 gig hd which is way more than enough storage for me.

lovely... i just got the speakers off of newegg without a sound card because i did it before you posted i guess. so i s'pose i'll get the sound card some other time. i was thinking of getting the Soundblaster SE or something its like 30 bucks. thx
