All drivers are patches are up to date. I would think its something to do with my comp because ping tests to servers always return good results. Only thing is, I have the same problem on my laptop so cant be hardware related.

Just did a clean install of windows on a seperate partition and my Internet is running fast now so it must be some settings that are making it slow on the other install but i've tried everything suggested here and a load of other stuff. Do you think a repair install of windows would help?

Yeah, I had already tried updating NIC drivers which made no difference. I've never used nslookup so I don't really know what I'm doing. Typed in a few random websites and all returned non-authoritative answers with an ip address.
