Ya, I think its just me. My phone is really bright and it'll hurt your eyes if you turn off the light in a room and its dark. The Vita is fine.

Wow, that did it actually. I just used the my hand and wiped off the jizz when I first got it, but didn't think about the filmy residue it'd coat the screen with.

Try keeping your eyes open when you play the device. My best friend's cousin's brother was having brightness issues, but then he opened his eyes one day and realized he had fixed the problem.
